With Christmas fast approaching, this can mean one thing! It’s pantomime time at the Lichfield Garrick! For anyone wanting an afternoon or evening of great entertainment, this year’s production of Dick Whittington is highly recommended.
Pete and Clare Lubrano, directors at Raphael Design, were fortunate enough to see the show in early December. As Clare commented
‘Pete and I both think this is the best pantomime Lichfield Garrick has produced. It’s as action packed as usual and the production team have some new tricks to wow the audience with. Not wishing to give too much away, but the ‘Under the Sea’ scene in the second half is brilliant with fabulous special effects.’
Returning to the Garrick this year are pantomime favourites, Sam Rabone, as Dolly the Cook, and Ben Thornton as ‘Hiya Gang’ Billy. Endeavouring to keep order is CBeebies Katrina Bryan starring as Fairy Bowbells.
Raphael Design is delighted to be sponsoring the pantomime by providing the goody bags for the show. The company has worked with the Garrick on many projects throughout the year and was more than happy to help out.
Packed full of exciting gifts supplied by The Entertainer Toy Shop, Go Ape and Wilko, these bags are given to the lucky children who join Dolly and Billy on stage for a competition where audience participation is obligatory!
Matt Clay, Sales and Development Manager at the Garrick, commented
‘A big thank you from Lichfield Garrick for Raphael Design’s support this year particularly with the Pantomime goody bags. We have already had some really lovely feedback about the bags and some oohs and aahs!’
Dick Whittington continues to run until 5th January 2019 so there is still time to buy your tickets and go and join in the fun. The Raphael team is already looking forward to the 2019 production of Cinderella that will see the return of Rebecca Keatley of CBeebies to the Garrick. Plus there will be a radical change for Sam Rabone who will be starring as Buttons in the show. Yes, you read that correctly, our ever-popular Pantomime Dame will be wearing the trousers next year! Oh yes he will!!! We can’t wait!
